Florida has 67 diverse counties with local governments and ordinances that  regulate according to the unique needs of their citizens. Prospective entrepreneurs should take some time to navigate their local county website homepage to discover any additional requirements that may apply to their business.

We have also made an effort to provide links to related webpages that have direct impact on local businesses in each county. These links include economic development assistance available to businesses, as well as links to each county’s building, code enforcement, licensing/permitting, planning and zoning departments (names often vary or are combined). Additionally, we have added links to each county property appraiser and tax collector.
